The Grand Re-opening of the reconstructed Map Collection took place on March 21, 2013 at 2 p.m.
On this occasion, the Map Collection joined the unique project StaréMapy.cz.
The re-opening included several accompanying events:
- Seminar "Historical cartography and its presentation"
- Launch of the national Georeferencer pilot at StaréMapy.cz
- Exhibition Mapová sbírka po 100 letech (Map collection after 100 years)
- Kuchař's Gallery of Cartography
- 360° tour of the Map Collection
- Prezentation of renovation of Map Collection
- Presentation of Map Collection rarities
- Example of the oldest restored globes
