The Grand Re-opening of the reconstructed Map Collection took place on March 21, 2013 at 2 p.m. 

On this occasion, the Map Collection joined the unique project StaréMapy.cz.

The re-opening included several accompanying events:

  • Seminar "Historical cartography and its presentation" 
  • Launch of the national Georeferencer pilot at StaréMapy.cz 
  • Exhibition Mapová sbírka po 100 letech (Map collection after 100 years)
  • Kuchař's Gallery of Cartography
  • 360° tour of the Map Collection
  • Prezentation of renovation of Map Collection
  • Presentation of Map Collection rarities
  • Example of the oldest restored globes
