Junior Faculty

 

Junior Faculty is an association of early- and mid-career researchers who are, or are becoming, group leaders and future academic leaders at the Faculty of Science, Charles University. Our mission is to stimulate the research environment by providing peer support and advice in areas related to research, building on our previous experience at diverse institutions worldwide. 

 

We focus on four essential topics in future development of the Faculty, within the following Focus Groups

We address topics crucial for the successful development of internationally recognized research groups at our university, related to career paths, research projects, teaching networking and generally inclusive international environment at our Faculty. Read more in our One-pager

 Olga Vindušková, chair 

  • I study the impact of climate change on soil health, with a focus on soil organic matter dynamics. I believe in a transparent, inclusive, and collaborative academic culture.

 

   Jan Mašek, vice-chair

  • Research in my lab focuses on deciphering cell-cell communication (Wnt, Notch) in mammalian development and disease, with a focus on neonatal liver development.
