In May 2025, the Centre for Continuing Education has again prepared an interesting offer for you.

During his lectures, he connects the world of inorganic chemistry with biology, art, geology, geography, and even the current political landscape. Above all, he teaches students to look at the world around them in a completely new way. In addition to inorganic chemistry, his main focus is on teaching experimental subjects (that is, how to properly conduct experiments in school) and creating teaching aids using 3D printing.

Biology student Jakub Horák and Faculty of Science alumnus Vojtěch Schmidt achieved outstanding success in the 9th edition of the prestigious Czech Nature Photo competition. Jakub Horák won first place in the "Landscape" category, while Vojtěch Schmidt was named the overall winner with his Photograph of the Year.

The research group led by Linda Nedbalová at the Department of Ecology, Faculty of Science, Charles University, has prepared the CryoAlgae experiment, which could become part of the scientific program of Czech astronaut Aleš Svoboda aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Congratulations!

Klára Kovaříková is originally from Ostrava and has dedicated her personal and professional life to physical movement and aesthetic sports. She studied physical education and French language teaching at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport (FTVS), where she also earned a PhD in kinanthropology. Since 2013, she has been part of the Department of Physical Education and Sport at the Faculty of Science, where she has earned the respect of students and colleagues thanks to her energy, approachable nature, and professional expertise.

On Saturday, 12 April 2025, the traditional Golden Graduation Ceremony took place in the Karolina Grand Auditorium, bringing together graduates of the Faculty of Science of Charles University to celebrate 50 years since their graduation.
