UNESCO: Memory of the World Programme
The Memory of the World International Register is a prestigious inventory of the rarest and most significant items of diverse cultural heritage. Nominations for the list are submitted on an ongoing basis by individual countries through their National Commissions for UNESCO. The International Advisory Commission, which meets every two years, has the final say in their selection.
