The Nostitz Palace hosted the ceremonial awarding of certificates for inscription into the UNESCO Memory of the World International Register. Included were the cartographic documents of P. J. Šafařík, housed in the Map Collection of the Faculty of Science at Charles University. The faculty can now proudly boast a second entry in this prestigious international list – in 2017, it succeeded with the nomination of Camocio’s maps of the Siege of Malta. The certificate was presented by Deputy Minister of Culture Mgr. Milan Němeček and received by the Dean of our Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Vladimír Krylov, Vice-Dean for the Geography Section Assoc. Prof. Luděk Šídlo, and Mgr. Mirka Tröglová Sejtková, who represented the Map Collection.

President Petr Pavel presented appointment decrees to 20 newly appointed professors of Charles University in the Great Hall of the Carolinum. Among them are representatives of our faculty: Prof. RNDr. Svatava Janoušková, Ph.D., from the Department of Chemistry Education and Didactics; Prof. RNDr. Jiřina Kocourková, Ph.D., from the Department of Demography and Geodemography; and Prof. RNDr. Kryštof Verner, Ph.D., from the Institute of Petrology and Structural Geology. On June 12, 2025, the 20th anniversary of the Field practices in human etology was celebrated in the amphitheatre on the Albertov steps. Teachers, former students, and also Romani residents from a village near the locality where the field course takes place gathered to celebrate this anniversary together.
