Information for candidates for bachelor studies.
The overall study concept provides an individual professional focus. In the lower years, the selection of optional lectures, exercises and seminars is small, at the end most of the teaching hours are optional subjects. The student writes electives based on his/her idea of the future profession and in consultation with the supervisor of the bachelor's and master's thesis.
During the fifth semester, students apply for a bachelor's thesis in the relevant department according to their expected study orientation. The sixth semester, in which students already focus on subjects related to the respective geographical fields and their specialisations, forms the transition to the follow-up Master's degree. In this semester, the student completes, submits and defends the Bachelor's thesis.
The study is finished with a bachelor's exam. A mandatory part of the bachelor's examination is the defence of the bachelor's thesis. Its quality will be assessed by the supervisor and the opponent.
