Information for external collaborators, interns, and course participants who need access to faculty services for distance learning.
1) Functional identity in the university CAS system
The first requirement is to have a functional identity in the university CAS system. This means knowing your login or personal number and having a valid verified password, which you use to log into the system at: cas.cuni.cz or https://ldapuser.cuni.cz.
If you are unsure whether you have an account in CAS or cannot log in with your last known password, please submit a request to the Faculty of Science Helpdesk, see below.
OIT representatives will issue you a generated initial password, which must be changed in CAS within 5 days to a personal verified password. We also ask you to complete and verify your valid contact details in CAS – email, mobile phone.
2) WhoIs Role "External Member - Honorary Member"
In WhoIs, it is necessary to have the role of external member - honorary member assigned, which is arranged by the respective department for lecturers and consultants as well as for students from other CU faculties or other higher education institutions (please specify the real end of this relationship or limit it to a maximum of 3 years).
As part of regular synchronization, the change will generally take effect by the next day.
After testing functionality, please confirm your approval in the Helpdesk.
This procedure is created only for a transitional period.
Submitting a Request to the Faculty of Science Helpdesk
You can access the system via the Helpdesk link in the header of the Faculty of Science website or by entering helpdesk.natur.cuni.cz into your browser.
a) Use your CAS login and password
b) Log in via the "Sign in with Google" link – using your username@natur.cuni.cz and the same password as for GSuite.

If submitting a request without logging in, please provide information that will help us identify you. Besides your name, also include your login and personal number, if known. However, never provide any passwords.
