New Study Sheds Light on Ancient Protoribosome and its Role in Early Life Evolution
Published: Monday 30.9.2024
Scientists have uncovered new insights into the protoribosome, a molecular fossil within the ribosome, which plays a key role in the origin of life on Earth. This research, published in Nucleic Acids Research, could reshape our understanding of early ribosomal evolution and its significance for the development of life. One of the study´s lead researchers is Dr. Klára Hlouchová from department of Cell biology of the Faculty of Science, Charles University.
