Cytokinins are important phytohormones regulating plant growth and development. Their levels often decrease during abiotic stress conditions to stop growth. This reduction also occurs when plants are under heat stress. However, if we artificially increase cytokinin levels, plant stress tolerance increases. The talk will focus on uncovering the role of cytokinins in the response to heat stress and looking for more natural ways to increase their levels.
