For the scholarship/bursary to be paid, the decision to award the scholarship/bursary must be final. Scholarship/bursary award decisions are delivered to students via SIS. The student is notified of the incoming SIS document by an email message with a link to the SIS document. Once the document is viewed/downloaded, the student can waive the right to appeal in SIS (see instructions), thereby expediting the decision becoming final. Waiving the right to appeal is not an obligation for the student, but may speed up the payment of the scholarship/bursary. Scholarships/bursaries for which students waive their right to appeal in a timely manner after receipt of the decision will be paid on the next pay date. If the student does not waive the right to appeal, payment must wait until the 30-day appeal period has expired and not be made until the next month's pay period. In the case of a late waiver of the right to appeal, payment will also not be made until the next month's pay period.
