Accessing information system Studium (SIS) as a student
The IS Studium (SIS) [http://sis.cuni.cz] login for students is the same as for the Charles University Authentication Service (CAS) [http://cas.cuni.cz] that is used for login in the application of Charles University. Registered e-mail address can be used only as applicant's access to the modul Admission.
Student cards of Charles University and login information for CAS (login, personal number, the initial password) are provided when you visit a Card Service Centre of Charles University (see https://cuni.cz/UKEN-163.html). The initial password (valid only for 5 days) is used exclusively for changing your password in CAS (it is not applicable for any other purpose). A successful password change is indicated by a green bar in CAS, the new expiration date also listed there. If the change is not successful, you will see a red bar and information about the problem that caused it.

- When someone else has you register for your study programme you can use temporary access to SIS.
E-mail address and phone number in CAS
The e-mail address and phone number verified for CAS is used when you forget your password or your password is expired – so you do not need to go personally to the university office. Therefore, it is highly recommended to provide your current phone number (and update it when changed) and your non-faculty e-mail address and verify these in CAS. The e-mail should not be the faculty one because if you forget your password or your password is expired, you cannot login in your faculty mailbox (and thus you cannot verify an online password change). E-mail address in CAS is also used to send notifications on password expiration. It is possible to have more e-mail addresses in CAS.
Student's e-mail address in SIS
In SIS, the e-mail address is set independently of CAS. The e-mail address in SIS is used for communication with the student regarding their studies, including sending electronical documents by the Student Affairs Division. In the module Personal data and settings, the students should include primarily their faculty e-mail address provided by the Centre of Information Technology (please see ) after registering for a study programme at the faculty. The e-mail address can be common for studies taken at oteher faculty od Charles University.
Students uses their faculty e-mail addresses for communication regarding studies at the faculty with teachers, Student Affairs Division and other workplaces of the University. Information about faculty e-mail account is available in the First year student's handbook.
Delivery address in SIS
If the student does not have an active official Czech digital data boxfor natural person, the student's delivery address in SIS is used for sending hard copies of documents by the Student Affairs Division. The delivery address is common for all the studies taken at Charles University. Therefore is also important to keep this address up-to-date in SIS. Changing the delivery address is also done in the Personal Data and Settings module in SIS.
Guidelines for SIS
Faculty guidelines for the SIS are listed for each topic on the relevant study type page.
The contextual help for each module are available in SIS (an icon in shape of a question mark in the upper right corner). Different modules can work differently at different faculties, so make sure you follow the guidelines of your faculty.
