Horizon Europe is the main tool of the European Union for supporting research and innovation. It awards among others the European Research Council (ERC) grants, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) grants, grants for international projects on pre-defined research and innovation topics (grants for “Research and Innovation Actions”, “Innovation Actions”, and “Coordination and support actions”) or projects aiming at improvement of research performance in the so-called Widening countries, i.a. Czechia (e.g., “Teaming”, “Twinning”, “ERA Chairs”, “ERA Talents” etc.).
