The goal of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) is to support the mobility and career development of researchers in the European research area. All fields of research can be supported. A crucial requirement of the projects is international mobility – supported researchers receive funding to do research in a country where they haven’t been currently working or studying. However, the projects are beneficial and prestigious also to those who host and supervise the supported researchers.
The MSCA grants include e.g.:
- MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF): Individual projects supporting postdoctoral stays connected with international mobility.
- MSCA Doctoral Networks (MSCA-DN): International networks focused on a joint research topic that within project implementation recruit doctoral students from abroad.
- MSCA Staff Exchanges (MSCA-SE): International projects that fund international and inter-sectoral staff exchanges focused on a joint research or innovation topic.
