The European Centre of the rectorate of Charles University calls for expressions of interest by potential supervisors at the Charles University, who would like to host a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow in their research team, but don’t have the researcher from abroad (applicant) to prepare the application with for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF) 2025 call (deadline 10. 9. 2025). Subsequently, the European Centre will:

  • Advertise the supervisor’s expression of interest for a suitable applicant on the Euraxess Jobs portal and through other relevant channels, including social media.
  • Collect the CVs of potential applicants and share them with the supervisor.
  • When the supervisor selects the researcher to prepare the MSCA-PF application with, the European Centre will facilitate the contact between the supervisor and the selected applicant.
  • On 10. 4. 2025 (10:00–12:00) a hybrid information session will be held to address the needs of applicants (postdocs), supervisors and support staff and to present the basic features of project support from the rectorate.
  • The European Centre in cooperation with the Project Management Department at the faculty will support the applicants during the proposal preparation.

What is MSCA-PF

The MSCA-PF grant supports individual research stay (1-2 years) connected with international mobility (the project must take place in a country different from where the researcher has currently worked or studied). The researcher (applicant – postdoc) must possess a PhD degree and have less than 8 years of full-time research experience since obtaining it. The project can be in any research field. The researcher should prepare the proposal in close collaboration with the potential supervisor at the host organisation.

Benefits for the supervisor:

  • A postdoc from abroad with a 2-year project fully funded by Horizon Europe.
  • New international contacts.
  • International visibility for the supervisor and the department.
