Bianka Mičke works at the Department of Physiology at the Faculty of Science, Charles University, where she researches the gut microbiome. However, her passion extends beyond science—she is also an avid athlete, engaging in running, cycling, rowing, paddleboarding, obstacle racing, and above all, wing. Thanks to her outstanding sports achievements, she was awarded a prestigious athletic scholarship this year. In wing, a sport where competitors harness the power of the wind with an inflatable wing, she achieved remarkable success, winning three medals—two gold and one silver—at the World Championships in the USA. Just like last year, she has once again proven that she belongs among the world’s best.
