Iva Hůnová, the Associated Professor from the Institute for Environmental Studies, Faculty of Science has been selected this year to receive the International Excellence Fellowship by the Executive Board of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

During her several-months stay with the research group of the Satellite Climatology of the IMKASF (Institute of Meteorology and Climate Research - Atmospheric Trace Gases and Remote Sensing), she studies the behaviour of fog, an important atmospheric process and pathway contributing substantially to air pollutant deposition fluxes into ecosystems. KIT exceptionally merges the technical university and national research centre with unique research infrastructures. A stay here not only offers an excellent opportunity to gain new professional knowledge, but it is also a chance to get a glimpse of how science is done at another prestigious university abroad. Last but not least, it is a very friendly and inspiring environment, connecting scientists and students from all over the world across a wide variety of disciplines.
