The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science of Charles University, in accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the Faculty of Science, Article 18, has announced the election of a candidate for the position of Dean of the Faculty of Science of Charles University for the period 2025-2029.
A discussion with the candidates will take place on Tuesday 1 October 2024 at 15:30 in the Velká geologická lecture hall at Albertov 6. 6.
The Election Committee will publish all materials on the Faculty of Arts website by the end of September 2024.
The Dean of the Faculty will be appointed by the JM Rector of the University, following a vote in the Academic Senate of the Faculty, for a four-year term. The Dean may be elected for a maximum of two consecutive terms.
The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science of Charles University also elected an election committee consisting of:

Proposals for candidates for the position of Dean should be submitted to the Chair of the Election Committee within 30 days before the election date, i.e. by 24 September 2024:
(a) a written consent of the nominee to run,
b) a brief curriculum vitae of the nominee, describing his/her work at the University,
c) a brief statement of the proposer's election programme.
The proposal shall be submitted in a sealed envelope to the address of the Election Committee via the mailroom (Albertov 6) and also electronically to the email address of the Chair of the Election Committee (michal.jenicek@natur.cuni.cz). The Electoral Commission recommends that candidates provide a portrait photograph with their materials.
