December traditionally includes the Faculty of Science's pre-Christmas concert. This year, it will ring out the Karolina Grand Auditorium on Tuesday 10 December at 6:00 pm. The evening will include the awarding of commemorative medals of the Faculty of Science, Dean's Awards to the best graduates of bachelor, master and doctoral studies and young scientists, as well as the announcement of the winners of the Science is Beautiful photography and art competition. Guests of the Pre-Christmas Concert of the Faculty of Arts are invited to a festive banquet.

The musical part of the evening will be provided by the multi-genre string quartet Unique Quartet with a brand new Christmas programme "The Light of Christmas with Unique Quartet", featuring music from Czech Christmas films and Christmas carols.
The evening will include an exhibition of winning photographs and illustrations from the Science is Beautiful competition.
