The European Partnership Water4All has announced preliminary information about its planned call for proposals of international projects on research in the field of water and circular economy. The call is planned to open on 12. 9. 2024, deadline for pre-proposals is planned on 13. 11. 2024.

Participation of Czech entities should be funded by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR).

If you plan to participate in a proposal, please, contact well in advance, 1 month before the deadline at the latest, the Project Management Department (Martina Holíková, martina.holikova@natur.cuni.cz), so that all the formal requirements of the application can be prepared in time.

If you consider preparing a proposal as a coordinator, please, contact us immediately.

The projects are required to address at least one of the following themes:

  • Topic 1: Enhancement of water circularity in industries.
  • Topic 2: Urban water circularity.
  • Topic 3: Resource recovery and valorization.
  • Topic 4: Economic, environmental and social implications of water reuse and recovered products

This call will include an additional call modality aiming at Early Career Researchers holding a PhD since less than 10 years. The details for this modality will be published in the Call Announcement document in September 2024.

In Water4All, the project consortium must consist of at least 3 partners from 3 different countries participating in the call, out of that at least 2 must be EU member states or Horizon Europe associated countries, and maximal number of entities participating in a proposal is 7. The Principal Investigator of the entity acting as Consortium Coordinator can only participate in one proposal.
Each partner must fulfil the eligibility criteria of their national funding body.
Countries planning participatiion in the call: Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Türkiye, UK.

Funding of participation of Czech entities will be linked to the TA CR programme Sigma (Sub-objective 4 – International collaboration), only applied research will probably be supported. Maximal funding for the Czech part of one project should be EUR 150 000 (total TA CR allocation for this call is EUR 300 000). Maximal funding rate for Czech participants will probably be 80 %.
