The European Partnership for Personalised Medicine (PerMed) has open its call for international projects “Pharmacogenomic Strategies for Personalised Medicine Approaches” (PGxPM2025). Deadline for pre-proposals is 18. 2. 2025.

The call supports research projects in human health on pharmacogenomic strategies for personalised medicine approaches that address one or more of the following aspects:
- Identification of new pharmacogenomic markers or signatures using (multi)-omics data in relation to drug or drug combination.
- Validation of a pharmacogenomic marker or signatures using (multi)-omics data in predicting drug or drug combination outcomes.
- Use pharmaco-omics strategies to determine the right dosage, the efficacy of treatments and/or the risk of adverse drug response and non-response to treatment to tailor personalised treatment pathways, including combined treatments (multi-medication).
The call emphasises interdisciplinary collaborations, cross-sectorial collaborations (participation of enterprises, regulatory agencies and patient organisations), and active involvement of patients, citizens, healthcare providers, pharmacists and health and social care service users. Project duration is up to 3 years. Project consortium must consist of 3–6 partners (up to 7 in exceptional cases, see the call text) from at least 3 EU member states or Horizon Europe associated countries participating in the call.
Each partner must fulfil the eligibility criteria of their national funding body.
Countries participating in the call: Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Türkiye.
Funding of participation of Czech entities will be linked to the Applied Health Research Support Program for 2024 – 2030, Sub-programme 3: European Partnerships in Health. Only applied research will be supported. Total financial allocation for Czech participation in this call is EUR 500 000, maximal funding for the Czech part of one project is EUR 250 000. Maximal funding rate for Czech participants in case of research organisations is up to 100 %.
The proposals are submitted by the coordinator on behalf of the entire consortium via the electronic proposal submission tool. Czech participants must simultaneously submit to AZV the compulsory national application annexes.
Submission of the national annexes via data box of Charles University and some of the annexes themselves will be secured by the Project Management Department. Therefore, it is essential for applicants to contact us well in advance (at ludmila.souckova@natur.cuni.cz).
