The programme Interreg Central Europe has announced a call for proposals of international projects “pioneer solutions for peripheral and lagging areas, making them more attractive to live and work in”. Deadline is 10. 12. 2024.

Potential applicants should note that the preparation and implementation of Interreg projects can be administratively very demanding.

If you plan to participate in a project proposal, please, contact well in advance, 1 month before the deadline at the latest, the Project Management Department (Martina Holíková, martina.holikova@natur.cuni.cz), so that all the administrative requirements of the application can be prepared in time.

If you consider coordinating a project, please contact us IMMEDIATELY, ca. 2 months before the deadline at the very latest.

The programme Interreg Central Europe funds transnational cooperation among public institutions, private businesses and civil society organisations in the programme area. It supports regional development focusing on joint challenges like climate change and digital transition.

In this call, projects must target one of the following specific objectives:

  • SO 1.2: Strengthening skills for smart specialisation, industrial transition and entrepreneurship

(There is no specific list or map of eligible regions to be targeted – the applicants themselves must demonstrate in the proposal that the regions they target fit one or more of the characteristics above.)

In this call, involvement of research organisations should be limited, reflecting their roles of knowledge providers or support to local or regional actors. Project partnerships should consist mostly of local and regional authorities (or related institutions), associations, civil society, non-governmental organisations. Stakeholders at the local or community level should be engaged to ensure relevance and impact of the project.
