Within the framework of the cross-border cooperation programme Interreg Bavaria-Czech Republic 2021-2027, the following deadlines for submitting project applications are announced: 19. 8. 2025 and 3. 2. 2026.
Potential applicants should note that the preparation and implementation of Interreg projects can be administratively VERY demanding.
If you plan to participate in a project proposal, please, contact well in advance, 1 month before the deadline at the latest, the Project Management Department (Martina Holíková, martina.holikova@natur.cuni.cz), so that all the administrative requirements of the application can be prepared in time.
If you consider coordinating a project, please contact us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, ca 2–3 months before the deadline at the very latest.
- Information about the deadlines for project application submission: in Czech, in German.
- About the programme (conditions of support and application procedure): in Czech, in German.
- About the programme by the Czech Ministry for Regional Development (in Czech).
- About the Interreg programmes in general.
The programme supports cross-border projects in the Bavarian-Czech border region. Projects must have a positive impact on the “programme area” and focus on a specific objective of the programme. At least 1 Czech and 1 Bavarian partner must participate in a project. Funding rate is up to 80 %, Czech public universities can obtain further 10% from the Ministry of Regional Development.
Interreg programmes generally do not fund research, but researchers can be involved in projects as knowledge providers and thus ensure that the results of their research contribute to the implementation of practical solutions in the region.
Due to the necessity of the project's impact on the programme area, the following topics seem relevant for the Faculty of Science:
- Adaptation of cross-border ecosystems to climate change
- Measures for joint management of natural disasters caused by climate change
- Cross-border nature and landscape protection
- Cross-border protection and enhancement of green infrastructure
- Cross-border protection of species
- Informal educational provision in the field of environmental education
- Assessment of attractiveness for sustainable tourism
Projects submitted to Priority 2: Adaptation to climate change and environmental protection should, as far as possible, contribute to the following indicators (source in Czech):
- O.05 Green infrastructure built or upgraded in the context of climate change adaptation
- O.06 Jointly developed solutions
- O.07 Green infrastructure supported for purposes other than climate change adaptation
