- Deadlines: in Czech, in German.
- Programme Manual: in Czech, in German – rules, specific objectives, supported activities etc.
- Key information about the programme: in Czech, in German.
- About the programme by the Czech Ministry for Regional Development (in Czech).
- About the Interreg programmes in general.
The programme supports regional projects with cross-border impact. It aims to address common challenges identified in border regions. Project activities must have a positive impact on the programme area, on both sides of the border.
Interreg programmes generally do not fund research, but researchers can be involved in projects as knowledge providers and thus ensure that the results of their research contribute to the implementation of practical solutions in the region.
Due to the necessity of the project's impact on the programme area, the following topics seem relevant for the Faculty of Science:
- adaptation measures in sectors affected by climate change – for example, protection of the environment, agriculture and forestry
- nature-based solutions in infrastructure planning and development – for example floodplains, ecosystem restoration, reforestation, natural water retention
- environmental measures to improve the natural state and quality of surface water
- measures to conserve and restore biodiversity, including better control of invasive species and associated pests
- raising public awareness on biodiversity issues
- culture and tourism – creating new and innovative solutions to better communicate cultural and natural heritage to new potential visitors
At least 1 Czech and 1 Austrian partner must participate in a project (at least 1 of the Austrian partners must be established or active in the programme area). Funding rate is up to 80 %, Czech public universities can obtain further 10% from the Ministry of Regional Development.
