GA CR: Call for Polish-Czech research projects

The Czech Science Foundation (GA CR) in cooperation with the Polish agency Narodowe Centrum Nauki (NCN) has launched a call for proposals of Polish-Czech basic research projects. The deadline for the Polish part of the application to NCN is 16. 12. 2024, the deadline for the Czech part is 23. 12. 2024.

If you plan to apply, please, contact well in advance the Project Management Department (Romana Hogenová, romana.hogenova@natur.cuni.cz), so that all the formal requirements of the application can be prepared in time.

A Czech and a Polish partner must participate in a project, with the Czech partner submitting an application to GA CR and the Polish partner to NCN. In this call, the Polish agency acts as the Lead Agency, therefore the scientific evaluation of the project will be carried out only by the Polish agency NCN. On the side of GA CR, only formal and financial control will be carried out and will follow the document Terms and Conditions for International Grant Projects Evaluated by Lead Agency – 2025 – GA CR is the partner agency (in English).

The international project must include the elements of well-founded cooperation between teams, the added value of joint research, and the scientific work of both teams must be interlinked closely. Projects should start in 2026. Duration of the Czech part of the project can be 2 or 3 years (project duration must be the same for all teams collaborating on a project).

Projects submitted to this call will count towards the maximum number of project proposals submitted to the GA CR calls with an expected start date in 2026.
