The project FUTURAL, funded by the programme Horizon Europe, has open a call for proposals of projects that would develop digital solutions for rural area empowerment. Deadline is 30. 9. 2024.

ATTENTION: One institution can only be involved in one project proposal.
If you plan to apply or to participate in an application, please, contact as soon as possible, if possible at least 1 month before the deadline, the Project Management Department (Martina Holíková, martina.holikova@natur.cuni.cz).

The smart solutions developed by the projects must fall one of the following domains:

  • Circular bioeconomy, biodiversity and ecosystem management
  • Resilience to shocks
  • Citizen Engagement and Quality of Life
  • Lifelong Education and Training
  • Climate Adaptation and Mitigation

The projects must develop solutions different from the 8 solutions developed by the FUTURAL project itself (see the Applicants’ Guide, pp. 17–18) and must be demonstrated in a region beyond the existing FUTURAL multi-actor pilots.

Project consortia should consist of 2–4 partners, including at least 1 “technical party” (e.g., small- or medium-size enterprises, start-ups, research organisations) and at least 1 “rural community” (e.g., municipalities, regional authorities, development agencies, non-governmental organisations etc.). Project duration is 12 months divided into 3 phases. Funding is EUR 60 000 – 120 000 per project (EUR 30 000 – 60 000 per partner).
