The EU4Health programme plans or has open several calls for proposals of international projects. Announcement of the nearest calls is planned in May and June 2024, the last deadlines are 22. 1. 2025.
Potential applicants should note that implementation of EU4Health projects can be administratively very demanding.
If you plan to participate in a proposal submitted to a EU4Health call, please, contact well in advance, 1 month before the deadline at the latest, the Project Management Department (Martina Holíková, martina.holikova@natur.cuni.cz).

The programme EU4Health supports the resilience of European healthcare systems by providing funding to national authorities, health organisations and other bodies. Although some of the calls target academic, educational, and research institutions (among other types of entities) as potential applicants, the scope of the projects seems to include the exploitation of research results rather than the research itself.
Maximal funding rate in EU4Health projects is only 60 % (or up to 80 % in exceptional cases). Eligibility conditions are always specified in the text of the particular call. Usually, a project consortium must consist of at least 3 entities from 3 different countries (EU member states or countries associated to this programme) – in practice, consortia often consist of 10–25 or even more entities, depending on the scope of the topic – and there are often other eligibility criteria defined for a particular topic. Project duration is also defined by the call text for each particular topic (in most cases it is 36 months).

- CR-g-24-99: Call for proposals on personalised cancer medicine, topic publication: 17. 9. 2024, deadline: 22. 1. 2025.
- DP/CR-g-24-29: Call for proposals on health promotion and prevention of non-communicable and communicable diseases, including vaccine-preventable and other cancers caused by infections, and on smoke- and aerosol-free environments (EU4H-2024-PJ-03-2-a, EU4H-2024-PJ-03-2-b, EU4H-2024-PJ-03-2-c), topic publication: 17. 9. 2024, deadline: 22. 1. 2025.
