The initiative Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CET) has announced preliminary information about its planned call for international research and innovation projects. The call is planned to open on 19. 9. 2024, planned deadline for pre-proposals is 21. 11. 2024.

Participation of Czech entities will be funded by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR).

On 12. 9. 2024, CET organise an online info session for applicants.

If you plan to participate in a proposal, please, contact well in advance, 1 month before the deadline at the latest, the Project Management Department (Martina Holíková, martina.holikova@natur.cuni.cz), so that all the formal requirements of the application can be prepared in time.

please, contact us immediately.

Czech participant can participate only in projects of applied research
and focused only on the following topics of the call (see the TA CR news)

  • CM2024-01 Energy data spaces and interoperability
  • CM2024-02 Energy system flexibility: renewables production, storage and system integration
  • CM2024-04 Carbon capture, utilisation and storage
  • CM2024-05 Hydrogen and renewable fuels
  • CM2024-08 Integrated regional energy systems
  • CM2024-10 Clean energy integration in the built environment

The project consortium must consist of at least 3 partners from 3 different countries participating in the call, out of that at least 2 must be EU member states or Horizon Europe associated countries. Usual consortia size is ca. 5–10 partners. Project duration is 12–36 months, expected requested financial contribution per project is ca. EUR 0.5–5 million.
Each partner must fulfil the eligibility criteria of their national funder.

Countries planning participation in the call (some countries support only some topics): Austria, Belgium, Canada (Alberta), Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Türkiye, UK (Scotland), USA.

Funding of participation of Czech entities will be linked to the TA CR programme Sigma (Sub-objective 4 – International collaboration), only applied research will be supported. Maximal funding for the Czech part of one project should be EUR 200 000 (and total TA CR allocation for this call EUR 800 000). Maximal funding rate for Czech participants will probably be 80 %.
