The programme AKTION Austria – Czech Republic supports projects of bilateral collaboration in science and education between Czechia and Austria that address topics of bilateral and regional interest. The projects of this programme can support students enrolled for full-time study, research staff (Austria) and academic staff (Czechia) from eligible institutions. For all types of activities, priority is given to young researchers (within 10 years after finishing their PhD studies). Supported activities include, e.g.:
- Projects aimed at long-term cooperation
- Joint scientific events for students, such as seminars or field trips
- Joint bilateral scientific events such as symposia, expert meetings and workshops
- Preparatory phase for programmes that award double degrees
- Research trips to obtain scientific data
- Specialised summer schools based on different scientific disciplines
- Academic exchanges for the purpose of carrying out educational events under the master’s and doctoral study programmes of the host institution
