Area of Expertise: Metagenomics, symbiosis between prokaryotes and eukaryotes

Research: Our research group investigates symbiotic interactions between microbiota and their hosts. Specifically, we explore the factors that shape microbiota variation across host phylogeny and environmental gradients, as well as how this variation influences host phenotype. Our primary focus is on microbiota in free-living populations of various model vertebrate groups, such as rodents, birds, and primates. However, our projects also extend to human populations, examining diverse health and evolutionary topics.

Teaching: I teach Genetic Methods in Zoology, Modern Statistical Methods I and II, and Field Exercises in Zoology for both bachelor's and master's students.
