Research Specialization:
- Ethology of small rodents
• Animal personality
• Methodology of behavioural testing in rodents
• Temporal perception in animals and humans
• Animal models of schizophrenia
Research:
In our rodent research, we focus primarily on movement in 3D space, personality, olfactory experiments, and the stress animals experience during handling and testing. Our experimental species include the laboratory rat and other wild rodent species kept in captivity – such as the black rat (Rattus rattus) and spiny mice (Acomys spp.).
In the field of temporal perception research, we conduct behavioral testing (various tasks administered via computer or on paper) and study EEG and fMRI markers. Another key area of our research and interest is animal models of schizophrenia.
