My research focuses primarily on chemical communication and the molecular nature of this process. This includes both research on the gene expression of lipocalins, proteins that have the potential to bind pheromonal substances, and research on the metabolites themselves and their origin. Metabolites originating from the microbiome of an individual are often used in chemical communication, and therefore another part of our team's research in BIOCEV is the identification of microbiomes within different populations of animals. As the main model organisms, we use wild rodents, mainly the house mouse (Mus musculus) and the wood mice (Apodemus sp.), and the verification of hypotheses is then carried out on a model of laboratory mice.
I participate in lectures of Ecology and Genetics of Behavior and Genetic Methods in Zoology.
