Area of expertise: ecophysiology, evolutionary ecology, herpetology

Research: Our research group explores topics across the fields of ecology, physiology, and evolutionary biology. While reptiles are our primary model organisms, we are open to studying other animal groups as well. Our long-term focus includes questions related to metabolic rate scaling, animal energetics, body size evolution, reptile growth, and the development of sexual size dimorphism. We are also investigating how reptiles are affected by changes in environmental temperature and how they adapt to different levels of habitat aridity.
