About me

I studied Biology (BSc.) and Zoology – Entomology (MSc.) at Charles University in Prague and also Forestry (BSc.) and Ecology (MSc.) at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague. Now I am studying Entomology (PhD.) at Charles University in Prague and also Ecology (PhD.) at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague.

I work as a technician at the Department of Zoology at Charles University in Prague.

I am a member of the committee of the Czech Entomological Society and at the same time the secretary of this society.

Research interests

I works with David Král on biology, zoogeography, taxonomy and phylogeny of the superfamily Scarabaeoidea and also works with Jan Růžička on biology, zoogeography, taxonomy and phylogeny of the subfamily Silphinae. My research interests are predominantly taxonomy and phylogeny of Scarabaeoidea.

Current projects

Taxonomy and phylogeny of the families Bolboceratidae and Geotrupidae (Coleoptera: Scarabaeoidea). Collaboration with David Král's Lab.

Taxonomy and phylogeny of the tribus Silphini (Coleoptera: Staphalinidae). Collaboration with Jan Růžička's Lab.
