Area of expertise: ecomorphology, herpetology and batrachology, evolution of body size and body growth, ethology.

Research: My research is focused on the body growth of squamate reptiles, emphasizing its dynamics and type, as well as the evolution of body size and sexual size dimorphism. Thanks to long-term collaboration with the Institute of Technical and Experimental Physics at CTU, I have access to advanced imaging methods (µCT), which can be used for the comparative analysis of various morphological structures. Additionally, we are dealing with antipredatory behavior, personality, multimodal sensory perception, and performance in reptiles and amphibians. I have also participated in several field research expeditions (e.g., in Somaliland, Ethiopia, Armenia, and Indonesia) focused on the biodiversity of fauna and human emotional responses to animals.

Teaching: I teach the course Ecomorphology and Evolutionary Biology and contribute to lectures in Ethology and Sociobiology. Additionally, I lead several practical courses, including the Practical Course in Ecomorphology and Evolutionary Biology and the Practical Course in Animal Morphology.
