RNDr. Barbora Strouhalová, Ph.D.

Education and professional experience
I have been working as an assistant professor at the department of Physical Geography and Geoecology since 2022. In 2014 I defended my PhD thesis in Geography at the Faculty of Science, Charles University and Université de Strasbourg, France (co-tutelle). Between 2015 and 2022 I worked as a geoarcheologist at the Archaeological Institute CAS, Prague.
Research Interest
Within the field of pedology and pedogeography, I focus on research into the spatial connections between human settlement and the natural environment in the past, anthropogenic influence on soils in the past, and analysis of soil archives. I also deal with the issue of soil protection.
