On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the XXIV International Conference titled “Family Policy and the Overlooked Questions of Positive Demographic Development” took place in the Chamber of the Senate of the Czech Republic.
This year's conference followed up on the 2019 event and focused on various obstacles to achieving family goals – from housing and relationship skills to the often-neglected topic of institutional trust.
Among the speakers was also doc. Jiřina Kocourková from the Department of Demography and Geodemography at Charles University, who addressed Trends and prospects of fertility and birth rates in Czechia in the European context.
