From March 17 to 21, 2025, three second-year students of the Bachelor's programme in Demography took part in the EGEA Western Regional Congress 2025: Catan’s Compass.
Congress held near the picturesque town of Tielen in Flanders, Belgium. The event brought together more than 120 students from across Europe, united by their interest in geography and international cooperation.
Our students actively contributed to the academic programme as workshop leaders. Through interactive sessions, they introduced military mapping of Belgium from the late 18th century and demonstrated popular geographical tools. The congress also offered them the opportunity to network internationally, experience Flemish culture, and gain new perspectives on the possibilities within the field of geography and demography.
Report was written by Anna Jindrová, second-year student of Demography and History. Thank you and we wish all of you good luck in future international networking!
