On Wednesday, February 5, at 2:30 PM in the Velká geologická Auditorium (VG), Rolf Granholm from the University of Groningen will deliver a lecture on microsimulation in fertility research. His work offers unique insights into the dynamics of population change.
2. Marc Luy: "Why Do Women Live Longer? Insights from 25 Years of Demographic Research"
On Thursday, February 6, at 2:00 PM, also in VG, Marc Luy, Director of the Vienna Institute of Demography at the Austrian Academy of Sciences, will give a lecture on gender differences in life expectancy. As the title suggests, the talk will focus on research into the determinants of life expectancy, particularly the causes behind higher male mortality rates.
