The Young Demographers, student group composed of PhD students and early-career researchers from our department, warmly invites all enthusiastic demographers to its upcoming conference, which will take place on February 5–7 at Albertov 6, Prague.

The conference will feature a diverse program covering topics such as fertility, family policy, mortality, health, historical and formal demography, and migration.

Special attention is drawn to the keynote speeches by distinguished guests:

  • Rolf Granholm (University of Groningen) with a lecture on "Microsimulation in Fertility Research", scheduled for Wednesday, February 5, at 2:30 PM in VG.
  • Marc Luy (Vienna Institute of Demography) with a lecture on "Why Do Women Live Longer? Insights from 25 Years of Demographic Research", on Thursday, February 6, at 2:00 PM in VG.
