Organizational Rules of Charles University, Faculty of Science

Article 1
Subject-matter of the Measure

Organizational Rules of Charles University, Faculty of Science (hereinafter the “faculty”), is issued in accordance with Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on universities, with the Statute of Charles University and the Constitution of Charles University, Faculty of Science (hereinafter the “constitution”), for the purpose of specifying the internal structure of the faculty.

Article 2
Organizational Structure of the faculty

  1. The faculty consists of establishments, the type and status of whose are regulated by Articles 3 to 5 of the constitution. Establishments of related fields are grouped into sections.
  2. The establishment of institutes is governed by Article 7 of the constitution, and the organization of the Dean's office is governed by a dean's measure pursuant to Article 8 of  the constitution.
  3. The organizational structure of the faculty is given by the list of all workplaces of the faculty according to Annex 1 of this measure.
  4. Individual workplaces of the faculty are marked with a numerical code according to Appendix 2 of this measure.
  5. The English names of the parts of the faculty are set out in Annex 3 of this measure.

Article 3
Final Provisions

  1. This measure supersedes Dean’s Measure No. 18/2023, Organizational Rules of Charles University, Faculty of Science.
  2. The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science debated this measure on Organizational Rules of Charles University at its meeting held on 22 December 2024. This measure was issued in connection with the establishment and need for the organizational classification of the Map and Data Centre.
  3. This measure comes into force and takes effect on the date of its publication.
  4. I appoint the Bursar of the faculty to be in charge of the control and implementation of this
    measure.
