Microscopy Room
Location: Viničná 7, 2nd floor, room 205

The microscopy room is equipped with an Olympus AX70 Provis microscope with an Olympus DP72 camera and a set of fluorescent filters (modes: WB, WU, WIG, BF, DIC, and Nomarski differential interference contrast). In addition, a SZX9 binocular stereomicroscope equipped with an Infinity 2 camera is available for work with larger specimens.
Two thermoboxes are also available in the room for long-term sample incubation and/or in situ hybridization procedures.
Access to the Room:
New users must always contact František Šťáhlavský to register before using the facility. A Google Calendar reservation system is used to manage access and avoid overlap.
Extraction Room
Location: Viničná 7, 1st floor, room 116A

This room is designated for soil sample processing, including drying, sieving, and extraction of soil fauna using Berlese–Tullgren funnels.
The equipment includes:
- 27 large extractors (for samples of approximately 1 liter)
- 84 small extractors (for samples of approximately 0.25 liters
