Physiological adaptations and biorhythms group

This working group is concerned with the study of the physiological and biochemical nature of adaptation mechanisms (processes) induced by the action of mainly abiotic environmental factors. Special attention is paid to chronobiological aspects. Methods of classical physiology and modern molecular biological approaches are used in the work, but also, for example, the cutting-edge method of infrared thermography. Experiments are performed not only on animals (e.g. in the study of hibernation, cardioprotection and others) but also on human volunteers. The findings obtained are not only theoretical but also of considerable practical importance.
