Karolinum hosted a Golden Graduation Ceremony for graduates of our faculty

Monday 14.4.2025

On Saturday, 12 April 2025, the traditional Golden Graduation Ceremony took place in the Karolina Grand Auditorium, bringing together graduates of the Faculty of Science of Charles University to celebrate 50 years since their graduation.

The ceremony, which attracted a large number of former students, had a touching and festive atmosphere, which was supported by memories of the time of studies, friendly reunions and shared stories of academic life.
The ceremony was opened by the promoter from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, which also hosted its graduates on Saturday, followed by the speeches of the deans, and for our faculty by doc. RNDr. Ing. Vladimír Krylov.  Each of the speeches was not only a reminder of the importance of this generation of graduates, but also a recognition of their contribution to scientific and social life.
The speech was then traditionally delivered by one of the graduates, who shared his memories of his years of study, the challenges, but also the joys that were part of his journey at the faculty. His words were not only a nostalgic look back, but also an inspiration for current students who are just beginning their own academic careers.
The ceremony was followed by the traditional toast in the reception area of the Karolinum, where alumni, academics and guests could meet and discuss the past years.
This Golden Graduation was once again a testament to how much the faculty values its graduates and the strong bonds that have been formed between them and the university. Fifty years on, it has once again shown that the Faculty of Science is not only a place of education, but also a foundation for lifelong friendships, collaboration and scientific achievement.
