Short-term intensive programmes are a new feature of the Erasmus+ programme that allows the promotion and implementation of international mobility in a combination of physical and virtual activities. The aim is to foster international connections between higher education institutions to collectively develop programmes for groups of students, academics or administrative staff to be trained, study, and learn using innovative approaches and digital tools.
The BIP content includes training/intensive teaching (for both Czech and international participants)
There is mandatory combination of virtual (usually 1–2 meetings) and physical mobility (5–30 days)
Collaboration of at least 3 higher education institutions from 3 different Erasmus+ program countries (Charles University + two other foreign
universities)
A minimum of 15 or 20 international participants is required (depending on the BIP type)
The participants can be students and staff
Main advantages of BIP:
Possibility to organize a short-term event on a chosen topic
Opportunity to gain international experience in a domestic environment
Opportunity to establish or strengthen international relationships
Internationalization of research topics and pedagogical methods
Funding:
6,000 EUR for a BIP with 15 participants
8,000 EUR for a BIP with 20 participants

Results will be announced by May 30, 2025
Approved BIPs must be implemented and accounted by July 31, 2026
