A Czech and a Swiss partner must participate in a project, with the Czech partner submitting the application to GA CR and the Swiss partner to SNSF. In this call, the Swiss agency acts as the Lead Agency, therefore the scientific evaluation of the project will be carried out only by the Swiss agency SNSF. On the side of GA CR, only formal and financial control will be carried out and will follow the document Terms and Conditions for International Grant Projects Evaluated by Lead Agency – 2026 – GA CR is the partner agency (in English).
Within the Weave initiative, both bilateral and trilateral projects can be supported. For trilateral projects, the application must also be submitted to the third relevant agency. It is possible to apply for trilateral projects with the following agencies: FWF – Austria, DFG – Germany, NCN – Poland, ARIS – Slovenia, SNSF – Switzerland, FNR – Luxembourg, HRZZ – Croatia.
The joint international project must show elements of justified collaboration between the teams involved, the added scientific value of the joint research and the scientific work of the research teams must be closely linked. The duration of the Czech part of the project can be 24 or 36 months. The project duration must be the same for all the cooperating teams.
Projects submitted to this call will count towards the maximum number of project proposals submitted to the GA CR calls with an expected start date in 2026.
