Laboratoř vývojové biologie

V explozivně se rozvíjejícím oboru se laboratoř zaměřila na genetický a genomický přístup k embryologii u drápatky vodní (Xenopus laevis) a drápatky tropické (Xenopus tropicalis). V naší laboratoři se podařilo založit kulturu progenitorů Sertoliho buněk z varlat Xenopus tropicalis, u nichž studujeme jejich regenerační potenciál po poranění juvenilních i adultních tkání (ocas pulce a srdce dospělců). Ve spolupráci s Laboratoří imunoregulací (doc. Magdalena Krulová) se taktéž zaměřujeme na jejich imunomodulační schopnosti směrem k potlačení zánětlivé odpovědi a navození regenerativních procesů. Dále se zabýváme studiem diferenciačního potenciálu těchto kmenových buněk a schopností tvorby 3D organoidů semenotvorných kanálků in vitro. Pomocí fluorescenční in situ hybridizace (FISH) se snažíme přispět k poznání chromozomální evoluce u afrických pipovitých žab s využitím diploidního druhu Xenopus tropicalis a polyploidních druhů rodu Silurana a Xenopus. V neposlední řadě se naše skupina (ve spolupráci s Revmatologickým ústavem při 1. lékařské fakultě).
