Course: 4EU+ Urban Regulations and Political Memory: Towards Understanding Spatio-Temporal Aspects of Urban Development

We invite all interested parties to the online 4EU+ course: Urban Regulations and Political Memory: Towards Understanding Spatio-Temporal Aspects of Urban Development (UNREAD). The course will start in October and will run during the academic year 2024/2025. Its main topics are the driving forces of urban changes, the development of smart cities, and interdisciplinary methodologies of urban studies. The application deadline is 16 September 2024.

This June, Springer published the 74th volume of the book series "Topics in Organometallic Chemistry" titled "Metallocenes in Regio- and Stereoselective Synthesis" edited by Marko Hapke (Johann Kepler University Linz) and Martin Kotora (Charles University). This book contains 8 chapters summarizing the occurrence, synthesis and use of compounds containing cyclopentadiene functional group over the past decades.

22nd International Summer School on Bioanalysis

From July 8 to July 12, 2024, the 22nd annual International Summer School on Bioanalysis took place at the Faculty of Science of Charles University, under the patronage of Dean Professor Zima. We cordially invite all interested parties to the Tree of Sex workshop 2024, which will take place from 1st to 4th July in Viničná 7. The Tree of Sex project aims to gather all known information about reproductive systems from sexual and asexual reproduction to the evolution of separate sexes and the degeneration of sex chromosomes. This information will be concentrated in a publicly accessible and maintained database that will ultimately allow scientists to test large-scale questions about the evolution of reproductive strategies and their impact on life history, genomes, adaptation and diversification of organisms in nature. You can also participate in the workshop online.
